Jalandhar, which was formerly known as Jullundur in the British India, is a beautiful city situated in the Doaba region of Punjab. Jalandhar is known to be the oldest city of Punjab and is also deemed to be one of the oldest in the country. 1. Imam Nasir Masjid: The over 800 year old mausoleum enshrines a sacred Dargah, which is believed to have been visited by the Sufi Saint Baba Farid. Imam Nasir Masjid is a testament of an exemplary of the ancient architecture, and is definitely worth visiting. Near the Imam Nasir Masjid, a 400 year old Jama Masjid is equally a marvel to behold.

2. Tulsi Mandir: Dedicated to the wife of the demon Jalandhara, Vrinda, the Tulsi Mandir has been an ancient pilgrim spot which holds a lot of spiritual significance. Near the temple complex you can also find a cave temple which is dedicated to the goddess Annapurna and a plenty of smaller shrines which are dedicated to Lord Shiva.

3. Devi Talab Mandir: The renowned Devi Talab Mandir is named after the 200 year old pond located within the temple complex structure. The best time to visit the temple is certainly during the annual music festival which is known to be the largest competition for north Indian classical music, ever since the last 125 years. The festival is usually held in the month of December.

Shaheed – E – Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Museum: If you want to have an insight into the life of the freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh and the freedom struggle of Punjab, you must consider visiting the Shaheed – E – Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Museum. The museum was inaugurated on March 23, 1981 and was established to mark 50 years of the freedom fighter’s martyrdom. You can find the museum at Khatkar Kalian which is actually the ancestral village of Bhagat Singh.

5. Wonderland Theme Park: Looking for a get away from the sunny day? Well, this theme park is all you need. The Wonderland Park is beautifully spread in an area of 11 acres, and has various water-rides and mechanical rides including flying jets, wave pool, horror house, bumper cars, kiddies boating, flying dragon, boating, play house, side splash, and a rain dance floor.
