    Charming, good looking and an awesome singer and actor, Amrinder Gill is one of the gems in our Punjabi film industry. Let's know a bit more about him.

    Birthday: Amrinder Gill was born on 11th May 1976 in Boorchand, Amritsar (Punjab).

    Education:  He is a passout of Guru Nanak Dev University, where he studied Agriculture Science.  In his college days he was the captain of the 'bhangra' team and according to him, his love for bhangra is still there.

    Banker: Before he entered the singing profession, Amrinder worked in a bank.

    Singing: His first song was recorded for Jalandhar Doordarshan program 'Kala Doria'He became famous with his tracks like 'Paigam', and then gave hits after hits like “Daru,” “Madhaania,” “Khedan De Din,” and “Dildarian". His album 'Judaa' was considered one of the most successful Punjabi albums in 2011. It got 'Best Album' award at 'Brit Asia Music Awards 2012' and 'Best Romantic Ballad' at the PTC Punjabi Music Awards 2012.

    Films: Amrinder Gill got into acting with Manmohan Waris's superhit movie, Munde UK De (2010) sharing the screen with Neeru Bajwa and Jimmy Sheirgill. His next movie was also with the same director 'Ik Kudi Punjab Di' (2010). He came back with a bang in Jimmy Sheirgill's production 'Taur mittran di' which released in May 2012 and was a hit that year. 2013 was  a lucky year for him - in the first quarter, he gave three movies - first being Dheeraj rattan’s ;Saadi Love Story' which wasn’t a hit but his act was appreciated, then came the powerful laughter dose of 'Tu Mera 22 Maintera 22 ' sharing screen with Honey Singh and the third one, 'Daddy Cool Munde Fool' was again a hit movie where his role was considered one of his best performances till date. 2014 proved to be even better for him when he gave a hit like Goreyan Nu Dafa Karo, while in 2015, he gave an awesome performance in pathbreaking film in Punjabi cinema called 'Angrej', followed by a comedy - Munde Kamaal De. In 2016, he came up with another superhit - 'Love Punjab'.

    Family: Amrinder Gill is married and has two children as well.
