Class XII student from a village in Amritsar, Karanbeer is set to meet Prime Minister Narendera Modi on January 24 to receive the Sanjay Chopra Bravery Award for his daring act of saving 15 children from his school bus that had fallen into a drain.

The beautiful city of Ludhiana which is reckoned to be the Industrial hub and one of the most populated cities in the world is all set to become the city of vertical gardens.

Brave Karanbeer Singh has not just made his family proud but also the entire Punjab for showing relentless courage in saving 15 children from a school bus that had fallen into a drain in September 2016.  

He turned his disability into a narrative of triumph by winning gold twice for his country in Special Olympics. However, never in even his wildest nightmare Rajbir Singh, a young cyclist from Ludhiana, would have thought that despite inspiring thousands at the world-level and making India proud, he would have to work as a labourer to make ends meet.
