It’s always a pleasure to interview a filmmaker who is not just rolling out brilliant movies one after the other, but is also, a superb human being. One of the most intelligent, humble, and not to mention, ‘prolific’ directors in our Ballewood, Anurag Singh – the man behind blockbusters like, Jatt and Juliet 1 (2012), Jatt and Juliet 2 (2013) and Yaar Anmulle (2011)– spends a few moments with Ballewood.in team to talk about his life as a film-maker, his memories from Jatt and Juliet 2 and the status of Punjabi cinema in general. Anurag Singh, who interestingly, is the “role model” of Diljit Dosanjh, has been a big time movie buff since childhood, and did his graduation in media arts from Australia before entering Bollywood to work as an associate director with several noted film-makers. He has also directed a Hindi movie, ‘Dil Bole Hadipa’ (2009) starring Rani Mukherjee and Shahid Kapoor.
